MOUNT
PULASKI -- Esther H. Welshans, 86, of Mount
Pulaski, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at 12:05
p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. |

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount
Pulaski, with Mark Weber officiating. Visitation
will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral
home.
Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery.
Mrs. Welshans worked for Bo-Jac Seed Co. in
Mount Pulaski for 19 years.
She was born June 5, 1923, in Evansville to
Fred and Lena Runningburg Winkleman. She married
Cecil O. Welshans in St. Louis, Mo., on Aug. 29,
1941.
She is survived by two sons, Earl Welshans of
Mount Pulaski and Ernest Welshans of Mount
Pulaski; two daughters, Lisa Welshans of Lincoln
and Bertha Payne of Lincoln; eight
grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one
son, one grandson, three brothers and five
sisters. She was the last of her immediate
family. |
She was a member of Buffalo Christian Church.
