Doris Lourine Howe
Doris Lourine Howe, 88, of Mt. Pulaski, IL died at 4:00 a.m. September 11, 2009 at her residence.
Mrs. Howe was a homemaker and she was a sales rep for Stanley Home Products for many years.
She was a member of Mt. Pulaski Zion Lutheran Church, Mt. Pulaski, VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was born September 6, 1921 in Mt. Pulaski, IL to Walter and Martha Michel Maxheimer. She married Gene B. Howe February 7, 1942 in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death on December 11, 2004.
Survivors include 1 Son, Lyle (Marilyn) Howe of Mt. Pulaski, IL; 1 Daughter, Maureen (Larry) Lyons of Normal, IL; 1 Brother, Earl (Delores) Maxheimer of Mt. Pulaski, IL; 2 Sisters, Emogene (Pat) O’Brien of Greenup, IL and Evelyn Stengle of Petersburg, IL; 5 Grandchildren, Troy (Robin) Howe, Brett Howe, Shelley (Nick) Keiffer, Matt Lyons, and Kristin Lyons; and 5 Great-grandchildren.
Her Parents, Husband, 5 Brothers and 1 Sister preceded her in death.
Mrs. Howe’s funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Pulaski, IL with the Rev. Mark Downs officiating. Interment will be in Lake Bank Cemetery, rural Latham, IL.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m.
