MOUNT
PULASKI -- Mary E. Spain, 94, of Mount Pulaski died Sunday, Feb. 4,
2007, at 2:30 a.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.

funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with Bill Shanle officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Grove City Cemetery, Grove City.
Mrs. Spain was a homemaker.
She was born July 5, 1912, in Christian County to David and Bessy
Jacobs Dean. She married Howard F. Spain in Springfield on Dec. 26,
1933, and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter, Shirley (and John) Utterback of
Mount Pulaski; two sons, Howard "Dick" (and Joann) Spain
of Springfield and Louis Spain of Springfield; 11 grandchildren, 19
great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Mary M. Kidd; an
infant son; one brother; and one sister. She was the last of her
immediate family

She was a member of Mount Pulaski Christian Church.
