MOUNT
PULASKI -- Elmer H. Awe, 95, of Mount Pulaski died Sunday, March 4,
2007, at 2:50 p.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.

funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Mount
Pulaski, with the Rev. Mark Drews officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.
Mr. Awe was retired from farming and agricultural work.
He was born Sept. 24, 1911, at Lincoln to Frank Carl and
Fredericka C. Hahn Awe. He married Marie Goldhammer in Emden on Feb.
14, 1937.
He is survived by his wife, of Mount Pulaski; one son, Carl F.
Awe of Elkhart; one daughter, Pauline C. Hunt of Springfield; five
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four
step-great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski, where
he was an elder. He was also a member of Aid Association of
Lutherans and the Lutheran Laymen's League.

He served on the board of review of the Logan County tax
assessor's office.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Zion Lutheran
School, both of Mount Pulaski.
