| Mrs.
Stoll was a homemaker and former teacher.
She was born Nov. 15, 1929, in Peoria
to Truman and Jessie Groce Hatcher. She
married Hubert Stoll in Springfield on
June 26, 1949.
She is survived by her husband, of
Chestnut; four sons, Dennis Stoll of
Chestnut, Kenton (and Marcia) Stoll of
Chestnut, Kerwyn (and Karen) Stoll of
Mattoon and Rodney Stoll of Savoy; four
daughters, Cheryl (and James) Poffenbarger
of Mount Pulaski, Klista (and Raymond)
Hegele of Springfield, Brenda (and Allyn)
Colantino of Springfield and Deanna (and
Larry) Pratt of Cropsey; two brothers,
Charles (Rowena) Black of Springfield and
Kenneth (and Marilyn) Hatcher of Lewiston,
Idaho; a sister-in-law, Aurelia Stoll of
Chestnut; 26 grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
parents and two infant grandchildren.
Mrs. Stoll was a member of Chestnut
Zion Lutheran Church. In addition to being
a vocalist and choir director, she served
as president of the Lincoln Zone Lutheran
Women's Missionary League, volunteered
with Laborers For Christ in several
states, served as a Master Food Preserver
and Home Extension member with the
University of Illinois Extension, and was
a longtime 4-H foods judge at county shows
and the Illinois State Fair.
She attended Concordia College in River
Forest and taught at St. Paul's Lutheran
School in Bonduel, Wis., and at Zion
Lutheran School in Mount Pulaski.
The Stoll Family was named the 1982
National Amateur Music Family of the Year.
