MOUNT PULASKI -- Norma I. Goodman, 78, died Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, at 5:45 a.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Jeremy Thomason and Bill Shanle officiating.

Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery.

Mrs. Goodman was a homemaker.

She was born Dec. 13, 1926, at Chestnut to Ahijah and Lola Reynolds Green. She married Sheldon Goodman in St. Louis, Mo., on June 27, 1942. He died Feb. 11, 2002.

She is survived by two sons, Leon Goodman of Denver, Colo., and Richard (and Sally) Goodman of Taylorville; two daughters, Loretta (and Ron) Merold of Mount Pulaski and Jane (and Pat) McDonnough of Mount Pulaski; a son-in-law, Dennis Beggs of Mount Pulaski; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Gene Green of Springfield and Donald (and Peggy) Green of Springfield; and three sisters, Ruby Agnew of Decatur, Louise Blankenship of Springfield and Joyce Robinson of Springfield.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Marilyn Beggs; one granddaughter; two brothers; and one sister.

She was a member of Mount Pulaski Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Kidney Foundation.
