Rachel Elizabeth Gasaway, age 100 of Mount Pulaski died at 11:15 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31 at Vonderlieth Living Center. She was a resident of Mount Pulaski.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Nov. 3 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. A service will follow at 2 p.m. with Bill Shanle presiding.

She was born to George E. and Ada Mantle Suedmeier on May 15, 1905 in Mount Pulaski.
She married Cecil B. Troxell in Argenta. He preceded her in death.

She married Roy D. Gasaway on Dec. 2, 1944 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on Oct 12, 1992.

Mrs. Gasaway is survived by a niece, Connie (Jeff) Parker of Lincoln a great niece, Lisa (Nick) Rohlfs; a great-great niece and two great-great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, parents; two brothers, Paul and Noel and an infant sister.

Mrs. Gasaway was a sales clerk for Stahl Brothers Furniture for 30-years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mount Pulaski and the Rebekkah Lodge.

Memorials may be made to Mount Pulaski United Methodist Church and Vonderlieth Living Center.
