June 7, 2013, Logan County Herald: The Mt. Pulaski Courthouse Foundation invites all to our 2nd Annual Street Festival on Friday, June 28th from 5 pm to 11 pm on the west side of the Mt Pulaski Square and on the Courthouse lawn. This festival will conclude the Volunteer Work Week at the Mt. Pulaski Courthouse and is in celebration of our community, our courthouse, and our heritage. 

Opening Ceremonies will begin at 6 pm with a brief statement from MPCF’s Director Tom Martin. The Foundation will be recognizing the Mt Pulaski Grade School Third Grade class for their fundraising success this spring and a grand total will be announced.

May 9, 2013 Logan County Herald: Buff's Restaurant on the Mt. Pulaski Square re-opened with a new menu including summer salads and sandwich wraps. Buff's is a family restaurant on the up-town square where the circa 1848 Mt. Pulaski Courthouse (now IL State Historic Site) was once the Logan County Seat for the traveling IL 8th Judicial Circuit (1848-1855) - and where Lawyers Abraham Lincoln, Judge David Davis, Billy Herndon, Samuel Parks and many others litigated cases.

By Mike Fak, Deron Powell, State Farm agent in Mt. Pulaski, has added Colan Eigenbrod
 to his office staff. Eigenbrod is a native Lincolnite. His parents are John and Dianne Eigenbrod.
Colan is a graduate of LCHS and Lincoln College. He received his degree in business
