New  Arts & Crafts  Business . . . west side of the square
Open for business on:   Saturday - May 8, 2004

Everyone in this Logan County area has had experiences with the local Salt Creek and with an attic  or two.  So, a great name for their new shop to reflect this will be: “The Salt Creek Attic”.
Phyllis Beccue, Jo Richner and Dorothy Mason have been friends and have worked together on various community projects and events for over 20 years.  They have always dreamed of opening a shop upon their retirements from their jobs and heavy family schedules.  Now a reality, their Salt Creek Attic will have their grand opening on Saturday, May 8th, at 9 am.
Their unique shop is located on the West side of the square in Mount Pulaski, next to the Bertoni’s II Community Center and the Pulaski House Restaurant.  Among various items to be found in their shop will be:  pictures, small paintings, wooden boxes, decorated pillows, antiques, pottery, baskets, quilted Jackets, wall hangings, doilies, linen table runners, dresser scarves, candles & wax burners, wooden shelves, birdhouses, toys, benches, quilted angels, appliquéd dish towels, purses, florals, wooden reproductions of kitchen items, dough bowels, scrapers, tin ware & lights, bobbins, hand-painted items, country crafts, dolls, watering cans, lawn stakes, gardening items, center pieces, glass ware and some restored furniture on consignment…and much more.
There will be special order items for the public, such as a gift registry for birthdays, anniversaries, secret pals, weddings, and holidays.  Phyllis, Jo, and Dorothy have always enjoyed working with the public – two of them have been involved in teaching at the local schools.  They miss the contact with people and are thrilled to be involved in the community on a full-time basis..

The new shop owners wish to offer the public a place to shop without having to leave town.  They also want a place for people visiting Mount Pulaski to stop in, browse, and discover a bit more about this surrounding area.  They will continue to be watchful for unique items, quality antiques, crafts, home décor items, and gifts.  Don't hesitate to let them know of your interests.
